Lt. David Torres

Lt. Torres was hired by the Galveston Police Department right out of college (May 1990).
7 years assigned to Night Watch Patrol.
3 years assigned to Criminal Investigations working Juvenile, Property Crimes, Auto Theft and ended in Financial Crimes.
At the 10 year mark Officer Torres took the Sergeant's Exam and ranked number 1 out of the 6 that were promoted. May 2005 and promoted to Lieutenant May 2005 at the tender age of 37.
He is a 10 year member of the SWAT TEAM. His current position is Sniper Team Leader.


Wife (Debbie) is a BOI, her father is a 30 year retired Galveston Police Department Auto Theft Commander.
Lt. Torres has four children (Ryan 21, Jennifer 19, Erin 11 and Ethan 8)


Response time from his front door to the entrance at Pabst Rd is less than 10 minutes
The patrols will be made by a police car.
